Dear Parents/Guardians,
Newgrange Visit
The children in 5th/6th class visited Newgrange today and we hope they enjoyed visiting one of Ireland’s most visited sites. Thanks to Mrs Kennedy for organising the historical field trip and thanks to all the parents for giving lifts. This was really appreciated.

Our Girls’ Gaelic Football team are playing in Bellewstown tomorrow at 12noon – leaving the school at 11.30am. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself. Gum shields are compulsory. We thank Ms O’Donoghue for bringing the children to the game.
Swimming 3rd-6th Class
The children in 3rd-6th class have their first swimming lesson this Wednesday in Navan Swimming Pool. They will be leaving the school at 9.20am approximately and will be back in the school at 11.30am approximately. Please get your child to pack their swimming bag on Tuesday evening so that they don’t forget to bring it on Wednesday. Payment for swimming can be paid via the Aladdin app.
Boys’ Football (Thursday)
Our Boys’ Gaelic Football team are playing in Dunsany this Thursday at 1.20pm – leaving the school at 12.50pm. Please arrange a lift for your child. Gum shields are compulsory.
Mindfulness (Friday)
The children in 1st-6th class have their second class of Mindfulness this Friday in the school. The feedback from the children last week was extremely positive and we hope they continue to benefit from the lessons.
Secondary Schools
All parents should, at this stage, have contacted the various secondary schools for information on ‘Open Nights’ and application deadline dates. It is advisable to contact a few schools in case your child doesn’t get a place in their preferred school.
Stay Safe
All classes will have lessons over the next few weeks on the ‘Stay Safe’ Programme. The programme aims to enhance children’s self-protective skills by participation lessons on safe and unsafe situations, bullying, inappropriate touch, secrets, telling and stranger danger.
Is Mise,
Seamus Tansley
