Dear Parents/Guardians,
Swimming
The children in 3rd-6th class have their fifth swimming lesson in Navan Swimming Pool tomorrow (Tuesday) – leaving the school by bus at 11.35am (approx.) and returning to the school at 1.45pm (approx.).
Naming the Library!
The children in all classes got a slip of paper last week for the naming of the library competition. The children should bring in their entries tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone.
Nasal Flu Vaccine
The nasal flu vaccines will be administered to the children during school this Friday.
Mindfulness Lessons
This Friday is the sixth and final mindfulness lesson. The children have really enjoyed the lessons and we thank Brenda for visiting us weekly to deliver the lessons to a very high standard.
Industrial Actions
The school will be closed this Wednesday down to Industrial Action by INTO members. We will endeavour to keep parents/guardians informed of developments.
Maths Week
This week we will be celebrating Maths Week with a variety of interesting activities in class during the week. Please log into mathsweek.ie for more information and for maths activities you can do with your child at home.
Halloween Fancy Dress/Pumpkin Competition/Disco
On Friday October 23rd we are inviting the children to come to school ‘dressed up’ in Halloween Fancy Dress. We will also have the pumpkin competition. If your child would like to enter the pumpkin competition they should carve out and decorate their pumpkin at home. On the morning of October 23rd parents/guardians should bring in their pumpkins to the school hall between 8.50am and 9am as they will be difficult to carry for most children. There will be small prizes for the best ‘pumpkins’ in each class. As the school will be closing at 1.40pm parents/guardians must collect their child’s pumpkin from the front of the school at home-time (1.40pm for all children).
Thanks
Thanks, again, to Tadhg for all his great work assembling tables etc for the Meta Grant Library today and last Friday. This is really appreciated.
Halloween Break
On Friday October 23rd the school will close at 1.40pm for all children.
