Dear Parents/Guardians,
Halloween Fancy Dress/Pumpkin Competition
This Friday the children are invited to come to school in Fancy Dress. We also have our annual Pumpkin Competition. Parents/Guardians should bring their child’s decorated pumpkins to the school hall in the morning. The door to the school hall will be open. There will be a small prize for the top three pumpkins in each class.
This Friday healthy lunches are optional. As the children will be having hot lunches as usual at lunchtime it may be advisable for your child to bring only a small treat to school. The school will close for ALL classes at 1.40pm. Please collect your child’s pumpkin at 1.40pm. All the pumpkins will be on tables at the front of the school.
Swimming
The final swimming session for 3rd-6th class takes place this Thursday NOT Wednesday.
Attendance
The attendance rate for September was 94.4% and the attendance rate for October, so far, is 97.3%. This is a very high rate and we thank all the children for their regular attendance.
“Re-Turn” Scheme
We are still collecting bottles and cans as part of the “Re-Turn” initiative that we introduced last year to the school. All money collected will be used for the benefit of the children. As Friday is “healthy lunches optional” day the children have the option of putting their empty bottles/cans into the “Re-Turn” bin or they can bring them home.
Halloween Break
The school closes this Friday at 1.40pm for all classes and will re-open on Monday November 2nd. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break.
